Leaving Certificate Vocational Programme


The programme combines the virtues of academic study with a NEW and DYNAMIC focus on self directed learning ,enterprise , work and the community.
LCVP students follow the same subject syllabuses and are assesed in the same way as their peers in the Leaving Certificate .
They must study two additional LINKS modules , Preparation for work and Enterprise Education.
These modules are recognised in points terms by Institutes of Technology and by Universities .

What is Leaving Cert Applied

The Leaving Certificate Applied is is a two year Leaving Certificate,available to students who wish to follow a practical or vocationally orientated programme. Applied is used because the programme is designed to allow the students apply the learning and experiences they gain over the two years of the programme . LCA equips students with skill for the world of work and life long learning.
